OUR AIMS & OBJECTIVES
AND HOW WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE THEM
1. FIRST AND FOREMOST TO PROVIDE A PLACE OF SPIRITUAL WORSHIP
The Church shall acquire such premises, as deemed appropriate for use as a meeting place for Spiritual Worship on a regular basis.
These will initially be donated or rented.
2. TO WORK TOWARD PROCURING A PERMANENT SITE AND BUILDINGS FOR SPIRITUAL WORSHIP, SPIRITUAL HEALING AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
The Church shall work toward acquiring permanent premises, as deemed appropriate for use as a meeting place for Spiritual Worship and Development, through the raising of funds via raffles, freewill offerings, donations and other events as agreed by the members or arranged by the Fund Raising Co-Ordinators
3. TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL PEOPLE (REGARDLESS OF THEIR STANDING IN LIFE) THE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE AND PARTICIPATE IN A SPIRITUAL SERVICE
Spiritual Worship shall take the form of services that include Prayer, the singing of Hymns and other Songs, readings from the Bible, Spiritual Books or other Sources, and demonstrations of Clairvoyance, Mediumship and other Spiritual gifts. These services will be open to anyone who wishes to attend.
4. PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL PEOPLE(REGARDLESS OF THEIR STANDING IN LIFE) THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE, TAKE PART IN AND GAIN BENEFIT FROM, SPIRITUAL HEALING AND/OR COUNSELLING
The Church shall use both qualified and trainee Spiritual Healers and Counsellors and practitioners of other ministrations to those seeking it. This shall be done without discrimination of any sort whatsoever. It shall be done as laid down by the law of the land and in accordance with the rules laid down by the IPSC or any other Governing Body who have given certification to said healers, counsellors or practitioners.
5. PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL PEOPLE(REGARDLESS OF THEIR STANDING IN LIFE) TO DEVELOP THEIR SPIRITUAL GIFTS OF MEDIUMSHIP, CLAIRVOYANCE, COUNSELLING, HEALING AND IF APPROPRIATE MINISTERING
The Church shall provide the opportunity, for those wishing to access it, help in the development of their Spiritual gifts by offering training using the IPSC methods or the methods of other recognised Governing Bodies. It shall also, if appropriate, give financial assistance to those who find it difficult to meet any costs incurred in order to have said training. These opportunities shall be open to all, without discrimination of any kind.
6. TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND COMFORT FOR ALL PEOPLE (REGARDLESS OF THEIR STANDING IN LIFE) IN TIMES OF NEED
The Church shall provide the opportunity, for those wishing to access it, support for those who are grieving, seeking help, guidance or counselling. This shall be done via use of qualified and trainee Spiritual Healers and Counsellors. These opportunities shall be open to all, without discrimination of any kind. Members of the IPSC may wish to seek financial help. This will be given if it deemed appropriate and the Church has enough funds to be able to do so. The Church will consider all requests for finance/funding by a Member on its merits and shall be put (anonymously) before a members meeting (via one of the Trustees) to seek approval. In the case of gifts to uplift i.e. flowers to a sick member, this can be requested via any of the Trustees and approved by the Church Co-Ordinator, The Members Co-Ordinatoror the Finance Co-Ordinator, any of whom have the right to approve or reject the request based on it’s merits. The Finances Co-Ordinator shall bring such requests to the next members meeting and state why it was accepted or rejected. The gift may cost no more than £20 (As agreed by members of the original “Peoples Spiritualist Church at their meeting on 29th June 2000).
7. TO PROVIDE THE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL OCCASIONS
The Church shall provide the opportunity for members to participate in social occasions, i.e. Christmas party for members and thier children, days out, special events at the Church, and other such social functions as deemed appropriate. Although the Church may cover some of the costs involved there may be a charge incurred by those members willing to participate. These events shall be overseen by both the Membership and Promotions & Events Co-Ordinators
