What Is Spiritual Healing?
Spiritual Healing is a natural energy therapy. It complements conventional medicine by treating the whole person - mind, body and spirit. Spiritual Healers act as a conduit for healing energy, often described as 'love and light' which relaxes the body, releases tensions and stimulates self-healing. The benefits of healing can be felt on many levels, not just the physical, and the effects can be profound.
Isn't it just Faith Healing? Spiritual Healing is not Faith Healing. The term 'Faith Healing' implies that the recipient needs to believe in a deity and that that deity is the source of healing. Spiritual Healing is not linked to a particular religion. Faith by the patient is not required and healing can help people regardless of their religious beliefs.
Where does this 'energy' come from? Healing energy is all around us. In essence it is 'universal' - part of nature itself. It is available for everyone to use for the greatest good. Healers learn to use their ability to tap into this natural energy and pass it on. Depending upon their individual beliefs some healers and recipients see the energy as divine; others see it as pure universal energy or life source.
Are Spiritual Healers properly trained? Healers who belong to The IPSC complete a two year comprehensive programme of training, practise and development as Trainees and Probationers. They also have to pass several tests, and provide case studies to prove their abilities before they are eligible to be considered for Healer Membership.
How are they regulated? The IPSC Healers and Trainee Healers are all members of the Church and are bound by a Code of Conduct which sets standards for practising Spiritual or Reiki Healing which acts as a reference on those standards for the public. They are subject to a disciplinary process in the event of any misconduct and can be banned from healing. They also abide by the Healers Oath, much like a doctors Hippocratic Oath. All Healers are CRB checked and insured for the protection of the public before they can practice.
How many Healers do you have? Currently the IPSC has five fully qualified and experienced Spiritual Healers and three who have reached their Probationary Period (Second Year). We also have two Reiki Masters, three Level 2 Reiki Healers and three who are at Level 1.
How is Spiritual Healing given? It can be administered sitting on a chair or lying down on one of our Healing Beds in the healing room, whichever you feel most comfortable with. The Healers will only touch you on your shoulders and ankles. The rest of the time they work with hands over the body covering your chakras and aura. It is painless; however some people feel warmth, coolness or tingling, depending on the energies required by the client. Most just feel relaxed and peaceful.
The IPSC offers a choice of Spiritual or Reiki Healing every Monday Night between 7pm to 9.00pm, (except bank holidays), at our Psychic Fairs on the Second Friday of every month, and after each Service upon request
We do not charge for healing but all donations are gratefully accepted
