A Self-Healing Treatment ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The I P S C recommends that EVERYONE should try to ensure that they use the following treatment to focus and centre themselves.
The 8 positions of the hands as laid out below form the basis for a self-treatment of spiritual healing and the emphasis is on basis. Use the time to connect to your higher self, feel the changes in energy flow and listen to your inner self.
You should meditate on the chakra colours
while self-healing, but do not put too many strictures on yourself This is your time and you should develop it in your own way. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1. Rest both hands behind your head, not clasped, fingers together, and palms against the head. This position is nurturing, the place a mother cradles a baby’s head, feel the nurturing and warmth of an unconditional love. After several minutes or when it seems intuitively right to move them, pass on hand, (left or right), to the forehead and hold a position of one hand on the front and the other on the back of the head. This position covers the brow chakra and the pineal and pituitary glands. It is a high spiritual centre and often you need move your hands no further than this point. ~ 2. Move both hands, palms in contact with the head to a position to cover both eyes, hold the palms slightly cupped over the eye sockets, not pressing against the eyelids. Again we are covering the pituitary and pineal glands but also the position is a stress release, good for relaxing the eyes and any problems associated with them. People often experience visualisation of colours or pictures in this position.
~ 3. Slide the hands down to cover the throat. The throat chakra receives lots of use either in speaking or holding back the words. The thyroid and parathyroid glands are covered in this position and is comforting if held gently. ~ 4. Move the hands down to the chest area to cover the heart. This position also covers the thymus gland, which is associated with the immune system; of course this area is a centre of love and compassion for the self as well as for others.
~ 5. Slide the hands down to the solar plexus, do not be surprised to feel sensations of energy though your fingers at this centre. It is no secret that this is the place where we experience “gut reactions”, a main chakra area and covering numerous organs and glands. This is a real meeting of systems location. Do not underestimate this centre as purely physical; it is also important as a spiritual centre ranked by some as more indicative of spirituality than the brow chakra. To Healers this is the centre that we often “feel” though, (Clairsentience); the channelled energy clears through here before going to the hands during healing. One should always “self heal” this centre. ~ 6. Again slide the hands down to the sacral plexus, just below the navel. This holds any repressed feelings. The large intestine and pancreas are covered during this position; hold your hands comfortably across this area. This again is regarded as a spiritually intuitive centre.
~ 7. Sliding the hands into a V position to cover the pelvic area cover the Base Chakra and reproductive organs and lower intestines. Again using only a light touch with palms slightly cupped. This is a centre that provides high physical and spiritual energies.
~ 8. Finally move the hands away from the body in a sweeping motion. As you do so remember to give thanks for the healing in whichever way is appropriate to you.
